Joined son and Richard Berry in E85-powered effort and produced first podium for fuel in Series history. … At St. Petersburg, battled Penske's Sascha Maassen in opening laps before running wide and hitting outside wall forcing car to retire on lap 33. … At Long Beach, came in fourth in class with Clint after lost time in pits due to speed limit and under tray problems. … At Utah, made dramatic run to overall lead at race's start, moving from eighth to second at green flag and passed both Audis to lead four laps before being shuffled back by Audis. 2007: Made 11 starts in P1 with seven podium finishes. … Trio of J. Field/C. Field/Berry persevered at Sebring for third-place finish and repeated result at St. Petersburg. … At Long Beach, started from fourth position on the LMP1 grid before penalty during driver change resulted in a third place LMP1 class finish for the team. … Saw little time at Houston due to damaged alternator but returned to podium at Utah. … At Lime Rock, contact with Allan McNish in the No. 1 Audi resulted in rear body damage but still finished second in LMP1. … Drove a strong Mid-Ohio stint and was in contention for podium until last pit stop when car would not restart. … Moved to third overall at Road America after storming start. Electrical gremlins and pit penalties gave way to retirement with 30 minutes left. …Retired at Mosport after 39 laps (gearbox) and did same at Detroit on first lap (engine). … At Petit Le Mans, debuted Lola-AER package but three-car accident resulted in retirement after 60 laps. … At Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, car was retired after 40 laps (driveshaft).    
 
2006: A quiet yet competitive year that saw one LMP2 class victory in four starts. … Began season with class win and overall runner-up finish at Sebring in tandem with C. Field/Liz Halliday after starting from rear of field after tire puncture during qualifying. … Drove final stint at Road America and finished third, on heels of Penske Porsche RS Spdyers. … Closed season with fourth-place finish at Petit Le Mans and third at Laguna Seca.    
 
2005: Started five times and produced a pair of victories as son Clint won LMP2 drivers title. … Two P2 wins came at Road Atlanta, scoring pole positions both times. … Fourth overall in spring Grand Prix with son Clint. … Won for sixth time of career at Road Atlanta by taking Petit Le Mans win with C. Field/Halliday and fifth place overall. … Gearbox failure squashed hopes for home win at Mid-Ohio. … Fifth at Laguna Seca finale, good enough for Intersport team championship and drivers title for C. Field. … Three P2 poles and three fastest race laps on season.
 
2004: Made eight starts with pair of P2 wins with C. Field/Robin Liddell in Intersport Lola. … Trio won for first time at Infineon, then followed a week later with second straight victory at Portland. … Second overall and in P1 at Road America with Duncan Dayton. 2003: Field won three times in LMP675, equaling 2002 total while never starting a race from the pole. … Joined Dayton/Michael Durand at Sebring with a second place finish in P2 at Sebring, then he and Dayton rode that momentum to victory at Atlanta’s Chevy Grand Prix. … After Infineon fire, ran rest of season with borrowed chassis from England. … Won at Trois-Rivieres and Petit Le Mans for second straight year. … Ran third at Laguna Seca, fourth at both Road America and Miami.    
 
2002: En route to the P675 class driving championship, took three class wins in 10 starts, winning at Sebring with Dayton/Durand for Intersport’s first Series victory. … Teamed with son Clint to win at inaugural Series event in Washington, DC, becoming the first father-son duo in Series history to win a race. … Was third (with Rick Sutherland) at Sears Point and fourth (with son Clint) at Mid-Ohio. … Paired with Durand at Road America but forced to retire after 48 laps. … Teamed with his son at Trois-Rivieres and Mosport but left early both times. … Third spot and ninth overall at Laguna Seca. … Retired at Miami (accident) but scored impressive class victory at Petit Le Mans.
