Intersport Racing Lenco Mobil No. 89 LMPC Geared For A Street Fight

Drissi and Marcelli Bring X-Men: First Class In Theaters 6.3.11 and DynaPep Energy To Long Beach Grand Prix

Tomy Drissi and Kyle Marcelli will start Saturday's Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series race at Long Beach this weekend, contesting the 2-hour race around the 11 turn 1.968 mile street circuit driving the Intersport Racing Lenco Mobil No. 89 LMPC car sponsored by X-Men: First Class In Theaters 6.3.11. and DynaPep Energy.

Marcelli driving full time for Intersport recently renewed his sponsorship with DynaPep® Energy for his American Le Mans Series championship campaign.

Canadian born Kyle Marcelli has been racing since 2002 when he began competing in the International Karting ranks. Marcelli has acquired numerous wins, championships and awards setting six International track records along the way. Marcelli made his debut in the American Le Mans Series – the pinnacle level of sports car racing world wide in 2010 where he earned two 2nd place finishes and numerous front row qualifying performances.

“I’m very happy to be representing DynaPep Energy on a global scale," said Marcelli "and especially this week at Long Beach. I've enjoyed an active relationship with the company and I'm looking forward to growing our future."

"Long Beach is a fantastic event on every level," Marcelli added. "It's not only a great race but a terrific marketing opportunity for the ALMS and our partners. And for us drivers, it's definitely a street fight. I'm looking forward to sharing the car with Tomy and pushing the No. 89 DynaPep LMPC car to the front."

Born in Hollywood, California, and no stranger to Long Beach, Drissi enjoyed his first professional win (Trans-Am) at the track and has also competed there in the World Challenge Series and in the American Le Mans Series' premier Le Mans Prototype class.

The Trans-Am Champion views Long Beach as one of the highlights of the year.

"I am really jazzed to run the  Intersport Racing No. 89  X-Men: First Class In Theaters 6.3.11. / Muscle Milk LMPC car at Long Beach," said the Trans-Am Champion. "We know what we're up against, though. We know we'll have our hands full running against bigger teams with much bigger budgets. But, like I've said before, the guys at Intersport Racing are the giant killers. I know Kyle [Marcelli] and I can compete with anyone they throw at us."

Crew Chief and Team Manager Brian Alder concurs with his drivers and sees Long Beach as an opportunity for the Intersport Racing Lenco Mobil No. 89 LMPC to shine.

"We're really excited to return to Long Beach with Kyle and Tomy," said Alder. "They both have experience with the track and are up for the challenge of a street race."

"While we were obviously disappointed with our result at Sebring," Alder continued, "the team's morale is very high and we're ready to bounce back."

The Tequila Patron American Le Mans Series at Long Beach race takes the green flag on Saturday at 4:30 pm PDT and will be telecast in its entirety on ESPN3.com starting at 7:15 p.m. ET/4:15 p.m. local time. ESPN2 will provide television coverage from 5 to 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 17. International coverage: Fox Sports Middle East (Live on Saturday, April 16); Fox Latin American Networks (Live on Saturday, April 16); MotorsTV (Tape Delayed date/time TBD).
