Sebring, Florida-
Intersport Racing took the No. 37 E85 fueled AER-powered Lola B06/10 to the third step on the LMP1 podium in Saturday's 56th running of the American Le Mans Series Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring presented by Florida Fresh. The team persevered through minor gremlins enroute to capturing third in class behind the diesel powered R10s of Audi and the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP V-12 diesel.

Due to the efforts of Brian Alder and the Intersport crew, who made quick work of a nagging fuel filter issue during the grueling 12 hours, the team started the 2008 season on a high note.

"It's a great way to start the season," said driver Jon Field. "Thanks to our friends at AER, Lola and Dunlop. Now it's off to St. Pete and we'll look to do it all over again."

"We probably didn't have the best day, but we finished and that is what counts." noted team owner and driver, Clint Field. "We had a handful of little problems but nothing that put us out of the race. We had fuel filter issues which we had to fix during the course of the race, but the crew did a great job with the repairs making for a smooth race and a nice podium result. We'll carry the momentum into St. Pete."

Team driver Richard Berry was also pleased with the long day's work. "It was a good day considering we were going up against Audi and Peugeot. As it stands, we are running with 97 litre tanks, that gives us about 37 minutes of racing per fuel load. That makes long runs rough on us. But all in all, definitely a very fine day."

The Intersport Racing team will return to sunny Florida for the American Le Mans Series for the Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg April 4-5. For the second year in a row, the American Le Mans Series will hit the streets of St. Petersburg, a temporary circuit along the Tampa Bay waterfront. The Acura Sports Car Challenge is the first of three races held on street circuits. Coverage will be live April fifth at 1:30PM EDT on ABC.
